Wow has it really been that long?

I hadn’t realized it had been that long since I had posted on here. Time really does fly by doesn’t it? We have been pretty busy with the kids, school, dr apts, being sick, the holidays and just living.

Evan had his school concert last week he was to cute. I took some video but we were back in nose bleed section and well you can’t even see him. He is doing great in school. He still isn’t being challenged enough but that will come I am sure. He has learned the art of how to get out of school. He got sick at school a couple weeks ago and quickly realized that if he complains of a tummy ache he can come home and doesn’t have to go to school. Tommy and I quickly caught onto this. Other than that he is anxiously waiting for Christmas. He so excited. He made the cutest wreathe at school yesterday and couldn’t wait for me to open it. I asked him if we could wait till Christmas and he told me NO and started opening it. It really is cute.

Scarlett is Scarlett. All drama. She has learned the art of snapping with attitude. I can’t seam to capture it on video. She will tell you something like. “I want to wear my red shoes” she will be moving her head, waving her arm and snapping at the same time. Think ghetto girl at the age of 4. She is pretty funny. She doesn’t always use it right but it is funny none the less. She is still doing tap and ballet. She LOVES it. She is really good at it. I keep wondering what style of dance she will really thrive at. I can’t wait to see what kind of dancer she turns out to be. She is still refusing to read. My mom even tried to bribe her with a doll house and Scarlett’s reply was why do I need that one I have it here and I have one at my house. Yup to smart. She is very excited about Christmas and her birthday. We are thinking it is a build a bear kind of year but we will see. You can ask her what she wants for either one and she replies. “I just want everything” this is while she is snapping her fingers. Scarlett also went to her 1st theater performance. My mom took her to see OZ. She loved it. The wicked witch scared her a little but he would have me to. He had blue hair. YES I said HE. She dressed up as Dorothy, took her basket and all. She had a blast. Now she calls Wookie, Toto.

Paisley is changing every day. She is so darn cute. She is of course feeding herself. She is sleeping thru the night mostly. She likes to wake up for about an hour around 10 and play and just spend time with Tommy and I. Paisley finally mastered the art of sitting up from laying down on her own last week. Then just today she started crawling forward. She has been going backwards for some time. The kids and the dogs have had it. She is starting to pull herself up. She has already taken a head dive to the floor the 1st of many I am sure. She has also mastered the love of Vera Bradley. She loves my purse. She has to carry one around the house with her. Or should I say drag it around the house. I guess I am going to have to get her one since I don’t want mine ruined. She is just so cute.

We had pictures of the kids taken over the weekend. I should have them sometime this week. When I get them I will post the for all to see.

Tommy and I have been the same. The baby is growing a lot and moving a lot. My dr says that he should be here mid January. He and the peds are keeping a close eye on the babies size since I tend to have big babies. We haven’t started on the nursery or on Paisley’s new room. Tommy is off all next week so we are going to start on it then. We are also still trying to finish up Christmas shopping. This year has been a slow year to get it done. The items that the kids are wanting are really hard to find, and really we just haven’t been in the mood for it but I guess this weekend we will finish up. Other than that nothing is new. I will really try to be better at updating more often I really just didn’t realize how much time had gone by.

Wookie Onion has been in our family for 1 yr.

Sorry it is a day late but I have good reason. I have been sick. Wow who would have thought that we have had dear ol Wookie Onion for 1 whole year. Wookie has been very entertaining to say the least. He barks at us for no reason. Pees on people when they come in (well not everyone just a few selected people.) Follows Tommy around everywhere. And vomits for no reason. But we love him in spite of his flaws. Yup that is good ol Wookie Onion. He isn't so little anymore. Check him out when we got him here .

Poor Poor Paisley...

Poor little Paisley. She just can't cut a break. She is all healed up from her eye surgery and now she has decided to cut not only her 3rd tooth, but her 4th also. She has been a real joy.

Comments are working.

Since I moved over to blogger I have been having issues with the comments. Basically there were none. So yesterday I finally figured it out. YEAH...they are finally up and working...I am probably the only one excited about it but hey why not.

Evan update.

Wow I can't leave him out. I just don't have any pictures.
Evan has been pretty busy with school. Tommy and I have been so pleased with the school that he is attending this year. I was pretty concerned since it was a school district that I didn't like. But I can honestly say he is thriving and I am so pleased with what he is learning every day. He amazes me with what he is learning.
The other day he came home and was telling us about the presidents. A 1st grader telling me what presidents are which one. CRAZY. He is counting to infinity. He is reading well above his other classmates. He is just thriving. He got his 1st interim report and did great. The only thing we need to work on is his handwriting. Other than that no complaints . His teacher said he is excelling. I am to thrilled with him.
Evan is no longer in his Karate class he didn't like it due to the fact he couldn't fight people. We tried to explain this to him before hand but he didn't get it. We are now considering putting him in some kind of music lessons. He asked for drum lessons yesterday I told him he had to be 15 for that one. I would love for him to play the violin but looks like guitar is what he wants. That is ok to. As long as he finds something that he loves.

Scarlett update

Scarlett has been a busy little girl.
She started dance a few weeks ago. We switched dance schools this year. We loved the one that we were at but this one is a tad bit closer and we can have her in 2 classes for about $7 more than the 1 class last year.
This year she is taking Tap and Ballet. She loves it. The first week of class she was a little resistant to do tap. We try very hard to keep her from stomping her feet. It was hard to get her to understand that this was alloud in Tap class. She understands now and is having a blast. They are doing the tap to the Disney Mania. So the music is right up her ally.
Scarlett has always loved ballet. She is just a natural at it. She walks on her tippies all the time so it just comes natural. They are teaching her the correct techniques to do and the correct words for it. She is just having a blast with dance. I am so glad that we have found her passion at least for now.

School on the other hand has been a bigger challenge. She wasn't doing well getting up that early and every day she went was a huge battle. Last Tuesday was the breaking point. She was throwing a fit when I put her in the car and then Tommy took her and she refused to get out of the car for him holding onto the door screaming. We decided at that poin when Tommy brought her back home that it wasn't worth it. So Scarlett is no longer in school and she will be getting her preschool from yours truely. She is doing really well. She has been having problems writing her name. But she finally has it down today. She kept forgeting the A in her name but now I have tons of papers that she has writen me today showing me that she knows how to correctly write her name and she is all to proud of her self as she should be.

Paisley update

Sorry it has been a little on the crazy side here. Paisley has been a tad bit fussy. Between cutting teeth, diarrhea, and tear duct surgery not much time for blogging here.
Paisley had her tear ducts opened on Friday. She had to have this done due to the fact that her tear ducts were completely closed. The Dr told me that this is hereditary. I had it. Evan had it (his opened on it's own) Scarlett had it (surgery for her) and now Paisley. She did very well. She was very fussy on Friday from it and her eyes were bleeding all day long. Yesterday it was a little better and today a little better than yesterday. Hopefully all the issues will be gone soon and she will be a happy little camper again.
The good news is that since it is hereditary and the chances of the next one having it as soon as I notice it I can call the eye dr and get it done ASAP. That way we don't have to wait the 6 months of dealing with her gross eyes.
Here are her before (the reason for the surgery) and then today. As you can tell it isn't all cleared up but much better.

And the sex of the baby is...

A BOY!!!!!
We are so excited. We will have the perfect family. Not that it wouldn't have been perfect with another girl. But 2 girls and 2 boys. What more could we have asked for. We have been blessed with so much.

1st day of school

Scarlett had her 1st day of pre-school today. She was so excited. Last night she went and picked out her clothes and got her back pack all ready for school today. She had some issues waking up early this morning but thank goodness we didn't have to worry about getting Evan ready at the same time due to him being on a Fog delay.
Evan, Paisley and I all took her in for her 1st day. She was so excited. She had no problems leaving me. She actually wanted me to leave so she could go play with her new friends.
She came home all excited to have spent the morning making friends and playing. This week in school she is just getting used to everything going on. Next week they will start learning about apples. We have been working at home on her letters and her name. She is having some problems with her letters but it will come. I think she actually knows them she just likes to play like she doesn't.

Scarlett by the door where Evan takes his school picture every year

Paisley 6 months.

Can you believe it. Paisley is 6 months old. She is 1/2 a year...HOW DID THAT HAPPEN...Time has just really flown by. She is such a great little baby. I really couldn't have asked for a better one. She is smiling and laughing. Rolling over and attempting to scoot. Hopefully soon she will be crawling. She is still having problems sitting up on her own but with a head like hers I am sure it tends to topple you over LOL..
Since we have been such awful parents and haven't had time to take her to get pictures done we did some here at the house on our own. Hope you enjoy...

Evan's 1st day of the rest of his life.

My little boy started 1st grade today. I can't believe how time really does fly. It really seams like yesterday he was born. But 6 1/2 years later he left me to spend more time with somebody else. He was thrilled to go to school today. So much that he woke up at 5am. He is going to learn so much in the next 12 years of his life and this is just the beginning.
He is such big boy. He started a new school and to wanted to ride the bus on his very 1st day. His sister hasn't known what to do with herself today, other than follow me around asking when Evan is going to be home. It will be so exciting to see the paths that he chooses as he continues on with his education. Oh the places we shall go.

Busy Busy or just Lazy?

I didn't realize that it had been so long since I last did a blog. I swear I am much better at this...I have been pretty busy at least I think or I have been pretty lazy others may think. OH well.
We just returned from Tommy's sisters house. We went up there to celebrate my niece Sophia's 1st birthday. It was great to get away and share this special day with family. Christie did a part traditional Korean 1st birthday. With the tol table and Sophia wore her Tol-bok ( I always thought that it was called something different.) The party went well. The kids had a blast with their cousins playing. It was so nice to get away. I am sure Paisley didn't think so. She is just a child that doesn't likes to travel. She didn't sleep well the entire time we were gone. Needless to say I don't think we will be traveling with her for some time.
Paisley is growing like a weed. She is 5 months now. She is developing such a personality. She smiles and giggles all the time. She talks a lot. She is trying her best to move around it just isn't really happening to well. She is sleeping thru the night (when we are home and not traveling) She also got her ears pierced a few weeks ago.
We got some not so great news on Evan's school last week. We didn't get in. We were in open enrollment last year and were hoping we would be able to return to that school this year. But no such luck. We were declined due to the 1st grade class being to large. BOOOOOO...Right now I am not sure where we are going to go. I am not happy with any of the choices out there but I guess I have to choose soon.
Scarlett is ever so excited to be getting ready to start preschool. She has been talking about her new school friends (which she hasn't even been yet) She will be going 2 days a week. She can't wait. She is also getting ready to start a new year of dance. We are switching dance schools this year. She will be taking 2 dance classes. Ballet and tap. She loves dancing.
Everything else is going well. Please continue to pray from my family as decisions need to be made regarding my grandmother. Life has been difficult and it is wearing on all of my family.
Oh I forgot. I had an ultra sound 2 weeks ago. The baby is doing great. So we are still on trac for February.
Sorry there is no pictures. Somehow I managed to forget my camera this weekend. So I have to get some from my in-laws.

1st in the Mann house

We have had alot of firsts in the house lately...I somehow managed to get some of them on video.

Wookie went swiming in the pool

A gnome invaded our house and was folding my towels.

That gnome sure looks a lot like Scarlett

The kids made it Kings Island and this is the 1st ride that they ever went on.

notice Evan's face pure fear. Scarlett on the other hand is just plain nuts.

Evan and Scarlett's first fish on their own. We were at the inlaws for the 4th and they went fishing in their lake.

That was Scarlett's fish but she was too scared to hold it.

And the coolest one of all...

She rolled over for the first time yesterday. Today she has been a rolling fool..They grow so fast.

I hope you have enjoyed the catch up of the 1st's in the Mann household.

update of Paisley

Paisley turned 4 months old yesterday. Time really flies by doesn't it. I took her in for her check up and to get her ears pierced. She is 17.6 lbs.Boy is she is a chunk. She is growing like a weed. She is over 100% for her height and weight but somehow she made it on the charts for her head. I am not sure how that happened since she has a big ol Mellon head. She did so well with her 3 shots. We decided to get her ears pierced next week when I have to take her back to get another shot. She wasn't fussy last night. Thank Goodness for Tylenol. She is such a trooper. She is doing great all of her milestones she is right on track with everything.

Coupons

A lot of people have been asking me what sites I visit to assist me in my coupon shopping. The first group is places you can go to, to print off coupons. The 2nd is blogs that I visit to find the best deals to add to my coupon shopping. The blogs always link to others so I visit them also. I am signed up for updates on the blogs so when they post new stuff I get notified about it.

Adding to our family yet again...

God sure is funny....
We found out a few weeks ago that we will be adding yet another blessing to our life come February 5, 2010. It was a bit of a shock to say the least but we are thrilled now. Paisley will have someone her age to grow up with and share all kinds of stuff with. I saw the Dr yesterday and he said there is no concerns of having kids this close together except I will never sleep again. I laughed and said you think I do now.
So the kids will out number us by far.

Dare Devil vs Chicken

We have the Dare Devil vs. The Chicken in our household. Can you guess who is who...

We took the kids to Kings Island with the Korns Family on Sunday. Since they have season passes and could get us in really cheap we went. The kids had a blast. They rode most of the kiddy rides. Scarlett wasn't big enough for all of them but she went on a lot.
Evan is a big ol Chicken. He reminds me so much of Tommy before he gets on an airplane. Evan got this shear look of panic his face showed all the fear. Scarlett on the other hand is a Dare Devil. We are really going to have to keep a close eye on her. She is up for anything. The faster the better. Tommy to Evan on "the moster" formally known as "the octipus" he was very scared. He had his face hidden in Tommy's armpit the entire time. Scarlett wanted to go and waited for Tommy to get done with Evan to take her. Nope he wouldn't he said it was to much for her. Truth be told Tommy couldn't handle to do it again. So Scarlett waited for Jon to take her. (This was his 3 round on it and he was looking a little green) She went on it and loved it. She is going to be the faster the better kind of girl.
Other than having to sell some of our organs to afford the day we had a great time. The weather was great. It was hot but not misserable. We left Paisley with my mom due to she would have been mireable. The kids have been begging to go back. We shall have to wait.

Talking with God.

Have you ever had those days that you feel as is you are caring so many burdens that you just can't breathe. This is what has been going on here. I have been praying for guidance, wisdom, understanding and a heart to forgive. It is truely amazing how God works.
I was out the other day thinking about what was going on in my life. God and I were talking and I was telling him I don't understand why things were going on, and just then I looked at this church sign. (which I always do I love to read their quotes) This is what the sign said.

"Quit telling God how big your mountain is, and start telling the mountain how BIG your GOD is!"

It is truely amazing. How when you need something the most God is there telling you the answer and how to deal.

Poor Daddy

Scarlett was sitting in the living room a little while ago and she goes "You didn't get rid. of Daddy" I was like what are you talking about. She goes Daddy is still here. I go " Of course Daddy is here. Did you want him to go somewhere?" She says nothing. Then Evan chimes in. "Daddy can't go anywhere." I go "Why" he goes "because I have to have someone finish my games"
Well Daddy looks like you know where your place is. You have to stay so you can finish Evan's games. LOL...I guess we will keep you around..

New photos.

Just another Sunday.

It is just another Sunday here at the Mann house.
We spent the day putting up the pool..Which still isn't filled yet. Plus it is cold as ice. The kids are a little ticked that they can't go swimming but I don't think hypothermia is a good idea.
We picked up the house as we always do. With 3 kids there is always a mess. Did some shopping. I just couldn't pass up the whole Kmart super double coupons. Daddy and Evan did some gaming. Or better yet Evan cheated.
The kids and Tommy also did some 4-Wheeling. Tommy took Paisley for a ride also. She seamed to like it but I don't know if her tummy did to well. She ended up Yacking on Tommy's arm.
Also Evan is healing great. He has had a few bad moments but over all he is doing great. His worst time is thru the night and right when he wakes up. He is healing great. He has discovered that he can eat sweet potatoes and that is all he wants to eat. If we aren't careful he will look like he did when he was little all orange.

Day 3

Evan is such a champ. I am so proud of how he is handling himself. He is starting to have a little more pain. He couldn't eat his dinner because it hurt to bad. He also cried when he had to take his medication because it hurt. I know it will get worse before it gets better. But he is doing so well. I know it hurts so bad but you would never know with how he is acting. He is such a big boy. A friend of his from school sent him a get well soon card with a ton of stickers he was pretty excited to get mail. After Evan got that he was thoughtful enough to make a card for Bepaw. My little boy has such a big heart.

day 2 of Evan's recovery

Evan is on day 2...He is doing great. He is eating well and playing. I thought that he would be crying and throwing a fit but he isn't. His only complaint has been he doesn't like the way the meds taste. But I figured out a way around that. I give him 2 cards every time he takes his meds. He seams to be happy with that. I know that the bad will hit but right now I sure am enjoying the calm before the storm...

Evan's surgery

Evan had his surgery for his tonsils and adenoids today. He did great. The doctor said that they were huge and looked like cottage cheese due to some kind of chronic infection. He said that is probably why he always has such bad breathe. Evan has been a real champ today. He hasn't complained of much pain. He wanted burger king chicken nuggets and fries for dinner and that is what he ate. I knew from history with Scarlett let them eat whatever they want on the first day because they will not be eating for several days. He is finally asleep. Here is hoping he does well with recovery.

Evan's concert.

Evan had his spring concert tonight. It was so darn cute. All the boys dressed in brown, green or camouflage and the girls dressed in red and black. The boys were army ants and the girls were lady bugs. They all look so cute. There were a few kids dressed as different kinds of bugs. One kid was dressed as a maggot. HOW FUNNY WAS HE. I wish I would have gotten some video of him, but I didn't.
Evan was so cute. He was shy at times but he sang the songs and did the dances. He really enjoyed do it.
Evan is the last kid on the bottom row. The teacher keeps moving in front of him..

Evan's last KG concert

Evan has his final KG concert tonight. He is so excited. He is going to be an army ant if you couldn't figure that out from the picture. This school year has gone by so fast.
We are making last minuet purchases for the concert. Evan has to have a camouflage shirt or a dark green shirt 2 things that we don't own. Those who see Evan wearing this shirt in public please keep in mind it was not a choose to buy it was a forced to buy. Since I detest seeing people in camouflage well at least if you are not serving you country.
Video and Picture to follow...

Scarlett is moving out...

Scarlett has decided she no longer wants to live here. She informed me of this just a little while ago. Here is how the conversation went.

Scar- Mommy I want to live with nanny.
Me- Don't you think mommy will miss you?
Scar- It is only across the street.
Me- Why do you want to live with Nanny.
Scar-Because she has beautiful toys.
Me-But you have beautiful toys here.
Scar-But Nanny has a doll house.
Me-Then I will just go pack up your toys.
Scar-Ok I will take them with me
Me-NO you go with nothing. I am taking them to the trash.
Scar-Thats ok Nanny has a doll house...

I wish I could think like a 4 year old. Right now she is in the bathroom crying that I will not let here move in with Nanny.

The New and Improved Days of Our Mann.

Welcome to the new and improved Days of Our Mann.

Tommy was kind enough to inform me today that our old account was closing down. He told me today and said that I have 10 days but SHOCK I get on to import it over here and SURPRISE it is gone. So here we are all fresh and new. I hope we can get it because I don't always write dates down I would hate to loose all of that.

So here is a run down of what is going on in our lives.
Evan graduated from Kindergarten today. He is such a big man. It is so hard to believe he is that old but he is. Here is a little blurp from his graduation.

Scarlett is our little Drama Queen. She is 4 now and can't wait to go to school. She is currently finishing up her first year in dance. She loves it. Her recital is next Saturday so videos will follow next week.

Paisley is growing like crazy. She was 13.9 lbs at her last check up. She is sleeping a lot better and hasn't thrown up across the room in a while. She is such a good baby. She is smiling and laughing a lot.
